New Look

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I'd forgotten what "full-time" student meant. Basically, it means I'm constantly running around like a chicken with it's head cut off - 24/7. So that is my life currently.

I have lots to blog about - our anniversary trip (to see Wicked!!!) in ABQ, more pictures from hiking and horseback riding, our hilarious 10-year old neighbor literally climbing our walls, and a few other things. Now, if they actually make it to the blog or not is the question! I barely have time to make dinner these days.

So on to this post already!

This is mostly for my sister and mom. I knew they'd want to see. Brent & I have been needing/wanting a new bedspread for a while now. The last one we had was given to Brent while he was in high school by his grandmother, who used to work at a factory that made the bedspreads. I absolutely love that bedspread, curtains, and color scheme, but it was time for a change, and the bedspread was starting to show some serious signs of wear.

So last weekend we went to TJMaxx. And came out with our new look. You can't really see it in the picture, but the curtains have some texture* at the top, which I really like...it gives the room a little dimension.*The pictures during the day didn't turn out as well as I liked, so I took some at night, so hopefully you can get a better idea of what it looks like.
As you can see, it's kinda a shiny green, brown, and off-white. We have a queen bed but got a king-sized bedspread. Now maybe we won't fight over the covers as much! :)

Like I said earlier, I just loved that bedspread from Brent's grandmother, so of course we couldn't get rid of it. So it's now in the guest bedroom! The guest bedroom is coming along nicely...I'm excited to have visitors come test it out! Now that you have a bed, bedspread, curtains, and some resemblance of a floor, I know you must be excited to come visit us!!! :)

*Please note that I have no idea what I'm talking about here. I just remembered the words my sister and mom use often when they come to my house, but in a more positive tone. Like "now there's texture" as opposed to "this room has no texture".
